Having a large light industrial area, it is also well serviced by all types of businesses. Boasting 2 large regional shopping centres, a bus exchange and a wide variety of sporting activities and venues, it is home mostly to young and established families. It has a variety of housing from townhouse complexes, both secured and unsecured to residential public and private housing. Few Unit complexes exist in the suburb.
